Solidmind
Solidmind for knowledge workers

Hit your KPIs, one deep-work block at a time.

Between meetings you get 90 minutes. Solidmind makes sure half of it doesn't evaporate — pick a workspace, start the timer, and the sites you declared off-limits for this work fade away.

Free forever. Only what you blocked is blocked.

“Between meetings I get 90 minutes; half of it evaporates.”
— Anyone with a calendar full of blocks

How the block turns into output

1

Start in one click

Pick a workspace — "Q3 budget report", "Client presentation" — and go. The mode, the timer, and the rules are already set; setup happened once, not every time.

2

Your work tools are never wrongly blocked

Enforcement is deterministic: a page is blurred only when a rule you wrote covers it. No algorithm gets a vote, so your docs, dashboards and repos never get caught by a guess.

3

Catch distractions without breaking stride

A new time-sink shows up mid-block? Right-click → block it for this session — two clicks, no settings screen. At the end, one sheet asks whether to keep it in the workspace.

Your rules follow your work

No global list. Each workspace decides what’s off-limits for that work — the same site can be blocked in one and essential in another.

Part of the work

Same site. Different work, different rules. That’s the whole idea.

Standard mode

Low friction, honest guardrails.

A blurred page can be unlocked for 5 or 10 minutes when a tangent is actually legitimate — enough rope to check one real thing, not enough to fall into the feed. Ending early takes a deliberate hold, so you don't quit on reflex.

And it’s on your side

Deep work without the ceremony

No hard blocks that feel like digital handcuffs, no dashboard to babysit. Just a quiet nudge back to the thing you're being measured on.

Private by default

By default Solidmind reads no page content at all — blur compares a page’s domain against rules you wrote.

The optional AI assistant is the only feature that looks at pages. Analyzed on your device by default; nothing is sent anywhere unless you explicitly enable a clearly-labeled cloud feature.

Focus is free. Forever.

Sessions, the timer, full-quality blur — free and unlimited. Pro is for the library you build on top.

Questions, answered honestly

So it reads every page I visit?

No — by default it reads none. A page is blurred only when its domain matches a rule you wrote; there's no page analysis at all unless you opt into the AI assistant, which runs on your device. Analyzed on your device by default; nothing is sent anywhere unless you explicitly enable a clearly-labeled cloud feature.

Isn't this just another blocklist?

It's rules — but scoped to the work, not the browser. One global list rots because no single list fits every task; a workspace's ten rules fit that work. And the lists stay maintained in-flow: right-click any site to block it for the session, and the optional AI assistant can suggest blocks you accept with one tap.

Why does Chrome ask for access to all sites?

The blur overlay has to be able to run on any page your rules might cover. Chrome asks only when you first start a blurring (Standard or Strict) session — install itself carries no scary warning, and Open mode never asks at all. By default Solidmind reads no page content; it only compares domains against your rules.

What if the AI gets it wrong?

It can only mis-suggest, never mis-block. The assistant is opt-in, runs on your device, and its worst failure is a small toast you ignore — enforcement always follows the rules you wrote. It's also tuned to stay quiet rather than guess.

Is it really free?

The core is free forever — unlimited focus sessions, full-quality blur, all three modes. Pro ($4.99/mo, or $35.99/yr) is the depth layer: unlimited workspaces, unlimited rules per workspace, and your full stats history with a weekly report. There's also a 14-day Pro trial, no card required.
